Parenting programmes are widely recognized as a key entry point for supporting families and improving child outcomes. Increasingly, they are also being explored as a way to address violence within the home and promote more equitable relationships between caregivers.
This event presents findings from a global mapping of parenting programmes working at the intersection of violence prevention and gender equality. It highlights current approaches, identifies gaps, and explores how programmes can more effectively contribute to safer, more equitable family environments.
Drawing on evidence from 69 programmes worldwide, the session will share insights into how parenting interventions are addressing violence against children and intimate partner violence, and what is needed to strengthen their impact at scale.
Live translation captions will be available.
