ECOS NEWS
Help us build a more integrated early childhood system that ensures the wellbeing of every young child.
On International Roma Day, we are reminded of the
importance of ensuring that young Roma children have equitable opportunities to
grow, learn, and thrive. Early childhood is a critical period, yet many Roma
children continue to face barriers that impact their well-being and
development. Supporting the professionals who work with children and families
is a key step toward creating more inclusive and responsive systems.
Through the CHAVORE (which means “children” in the Romani language) Promoting Young Children’s Mental Health and Well-Being course on ECOS, we are contributing to this effort by equipping practitioners with practical tools to support young children’s emotional well-being. A key focus of the course is helping practitioners build strong, responsive relationships with children and families, while applying Psychological First Aid and culturally sensitive approaches in their everyday work. The course is already reaching a growing community of hundreds of learners across Europe across six languages (English, Slovenian, Hungarian, Croatian, Slovak, and Albanian). We invite you to join the course and be part of a community committed to strengthening early childhood practice and supporting every child’s right to a strong start.
To mark the day, CHAVORE has launched a new interactive Quest—offering a simple, engaging way to explore key ideas around children’s well-being, inclusion, and support in practice.
Join the short interactive quest, access useful tools and a space to connect with peers.
