What this offering explores

An Online Study Visit in the Slovenian Kindergarten Pobrežje Maribor

Join this interactive virtual study visit to a Slovenian kindergarten and discover how educators, counsellors, and parents work together to create inclusive learning environments. Through videos and guided discussions, explore approaches that support children with special needs, welcome immigrant families, and foster belonging, leaving with fresh ideas to enrich your own practice.

This study visit offers a glimpse into the
everyday life of a kindergarten, highlighting the diverse roles of professionals – from practitioners and counsellors to management – and how they cooperate and develop professionally. Special attention is given to supporting children with special needs through individual programmes and collaboration with external experts. The visit also showcases the kindergarten’s strong partnership with parents, from enrolment to ongoing cooperation, and shares parents’ own perspectives. Finally, the team presents their approaches to welcoming immigrant families and creating an inclusive learning environment for all children.
